We held an international symposium “FIBER International Summit for Nucleic Acids 2023 (FISNA2023)” as part of the initiative in this Core-to-Core program of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This symposium was held for the purpose of reporting the research results at each of the participating cores and promoting research activities through exchanges among the cores.\u3000Prof. Janez Plavec from Slovenia, Prof. John Brazier from UK, and Prof. Sara H. Richter from Italy gave presentations on the progress of their research. Dr. Ghosh Saptarshi of FIBER, Konan University, and Prof. Atsushi Natsume of Nagoya University gave lectures from the Japanese side. In addition, we were pleased to have online speakers from the U.S. and Indian cores, Assoc. Prof. Das Subha and Assis. Prof. Sudipta Bhowmik.\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this symposium, we invited leading researchers from Japan and abroad who specialize in nucleic acid chemistry research in the fields of science, engineering, and pharmacology, as well as members of other research projects, to present their latest research results. At the lectures, lively discussions were held, which further solidified the research network of this Core-to-Core program. We also organized a Poster Session for young researchers and awarded the FISNA2023 Outstanding Poster Award (for students and postdoctoral researchers) for outstanding presentations to promote and encourage international research exchange among young researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
