About us In this core-to-core project, we will improve existing genome editing technologies by chemical methods based on the analysis of the structure and stability of nucleic acids, and elucidate the mechanism of gene expression regulated by structural changes of nucleic acids in response to the intracellular environment. Furthermore, by regulating the mechanism, we aim to develop innovative methods to regulate disease gene expression by "non-"genome editing. To achieve this goal, research groups at the Institute for Konan University FIBER which will serve as the core research center of the project with domestic partner research groups, will collaborate with overseas research groups in five countries (UK, Slovenia, USA, India, and Italy) that have high expertise in this field (partner research cores).
