I’m very grateful to have this opportunity to study here at Konan.

My interest in studying in Japan began with my love for anime. That passion led me to start learning Japanese in my free time during university. Although I had visited Japan a few times as a tourist, I always dreamed of living here for a longer period. I wanted to make the most of my student years, so I decided to apply for an exchange program.

Before coming to Japan, I was nervous about whether I would be able to adapt to life here. Fortunately, Konan University has great support systems like Ajitomo and student supporters who helped me from the beginning. Thanks to them, I was able to settle in smoothly and even made wonderful memories, such as going cherry blossom viewing and singing karaoke with Konan students.

Through programs like Ajitomo, Language Partner, and Aozora (Japanese language support), I had many chances to interact with Konan students. Even when my Japanese wasn’t perfect, everyone made an effort to understand me, which made me feel really welcome and motivated to keep improving.

I currently live in the Hyogo International House, where we have “RA Time”—a great opportunity to interact with Japanese students living there.

Every day of my life at Konan University is filled with new discoveries and learning. I truly feel that I’m growing as a person, and I’m very grateful to have this opportunity.
