The Institute for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences (IELAS) promotes a university-wide liberal arts education founded on an integrative approach to educating individuals. Broad pathways to general studies, health and physical education, recurrent education, and educational learning support services are anchored in teaching and learning responsive to the needs of society. IELAS is further entrusted with advancing the quality of education at Konan University and oversees the Center for Education in General Studies, Education and Research Center for Sport and Health Science, Recurrent Education Center, and Learning Utility Center for Konan University Students. In moving forward to achieve its mission, the IELAS Liaison and Coordination Council convenes to monitor and ensure that the objectives of each independent center are seamlessly implemented and aligned together with the overarching aims of the Institute for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
