Since welcoming its first students in 1976, the Year-in-Japan Program has grown together with its students for 50 years.

We are pleased to announce the publication of the Year-in-Japan Program 50th Anniversary Book, which looks back on this remarkable journey.

This special book introduces the history of the Year-in-Japan Program, explains what the program is like today and shares stories from a former student as well as current students.

It also features highlights from the alumni reunion held to celebrate the anniversary.

We are pleased to announce that we have just welcomed 18 international students from our partner universities in the United States and Canadato join the spring term of our YiJ program!
They will take Japanese language classes and the courses on Japanese society, culture and history in Konan University.
We, the KIEC staff, look forward to them making friends in Japan and having invaluable experience, and will support them in their endeavors.

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Konan University International Students Alumni Reunion was held in the Global Zone on the 1st floor of Building No.2 at the Okamoto Campus in conjunction with the All Konan Gathering. Former international students who studied at Konan University from overseas partner institutions gathered for a joyful reunion, sharing cherished memories and enjoying a warm and vibrant atmosphere of international exchange.
