| 今こそ、人生における飛躍のとき |
人間としての幅が教養と経験にもとづくと考えるならば、EBA総合コースはその２つを体得できる教育プログラムであります。いままでの学習プロセスを基礎にして一層の成長を求めることは、すべての人が望むところであります。また、その成長は学生本人の意志があって初めて実現できるものでもあります。EBA総合コースでは、1年余りのアメリカ留学、そのためのアメリカ直輸入の英語教育、経済と経営の専門科目の履修、35名という少人数教育が行われます。そのいずれもが個々の学生の顔と名前が一致する形で展開します。その他大勢に埋もれるのではなく、学生それぞれの個人としての成長を目的にEBA総合コースは存在するのです。

|
| なりたい「自分」へ努力を |
受験する時は漠然としていたけれど、自分の可能性を信じてEBAに入った。今までと違う「自分」になろうと、努力の成果を待ち焦がれながら、英語集中訓練と専門導入教育を受けてアメリカに留学した。今にしてみれば良かったと思えるけれど、きつい体験も結構あった。そして日本の大学生活が再開-。さてEBAに入ってからのあまりにもめまぐるしい生活で手にした、消化しきれないほどの無数の経験は、入学前とは違う「自分」になるのに役立っているかという思いがこれから4年次になる学生達にはあると、私は思います。むろん自分のやってきた成果が出るを確かめながら進む方向を考えることは重要ですが、生まれてまだ20余年。努力の花が咲くのは、まだ先です。もっと志を高く、良く見聞きして、なりたい姿に向けて努力を続ければ花も咲いて香りも楽しめます。そう、違う「自分」になる日を、未だに私も信じていますから。 |

I look forward to working with the EBA students again this semester. It is satisfying to be involved in a results-oriented language program that
has clear learning objectives. It is also a pleasure to see our students working hard and cooperating with each other in order to reach those objectives. I am especially pleased to notice
that some students, who were really struggling to communicate in English when they first entered the program, are now communicating much more fluently, confidently, and enjoyably. I wish
everyone a good semester filled with more hard work, more fun, and more success in achieving your goals. |

I really enjoy my classes here at the EBA. The spring is busy! The sophomores are working hard in their last semester before Buffalo and the freshmen are just learning how much work there is to do. Sophomores, stay focused and you'll be fine; freshmen, it may seem overwhelming, but I can see that all of you are serious students and are already good at English. Keep going, everyone. I'll see you in class.

I am so excited to join the wonderful faculty and instructors at EBA as well as begin teaching EBA students. Last semester, I had the opportunity to teach a few EBA students who were studying in Buffalo. I had such a pleasurable time with these students that I'm greatly looking forward to teaching and getting to know all of you! To the incoming Freshman, I would like encourage you not to be nervous and to embrace this new opportunity. To the Sophomores, I would like to say that I'm looking forward to working with you before you head off to Buffalo.
